Certess® DLC Coatings

Our Certess® DLC coatings are deposited using a PECVD system designed to produce dense high performance DLC coatings. NCT’s DLC coatings can be multi-layer or mono-layer depending on the application. Our PECVD system also has the capability to deposit sputtered films or layers as well utilizing our plasma enhanced magnetron sputtering (PEMS®) technology.

We have three families of DLC coatings to meet our customers’ requirements:

DLC Coatings which are required to operate under high loads

DLC coatings which are required to operate under low loads

DLC coatings which are required to operate in space or a vacuum

Within each family of DLC coatings there are multiple films designed to meet different operating conditions.

Our tribologist will consider all aspects of the operating environment in which the product is used and match the proper DLC coating to the application.
