These systems utilize patented CAM technology which deposits smooth, uniform, dense, high quality DLC coatings. This family of diamond like carbon coatings will significantly reduce your components sliding friction while providing exceptional wear resistance. DLC coatings can be tailored for your application and excel in applications that require low friction even when lubrication is intermittent or non-existent. Our DLC coatings can be layered to enhance performance in applications where components may experience high loads, impact or a combination of both. From large scale production, to individual components, NCT can meet your diamond like carbon production requirements.
A diffusion treatment that imparts a hard, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant case hardened layer that will improve your products performance. Plasma nitriding allows the compound layer thickness to be controlled and products can be selectively nitrided easily. The plasma nitriding process operates at the lowest processing temperature of any of the nitriding processes and offers a sputter cleaning of the substrate prior to nitriding that helps to remove micro-oxides improving diffusion depths on alloys that are known to produce protective surface oxides.
NCT offers a wide variety of standard PVD coatings for traditional applications as well as custom developed PVD coatings for specific applications. The coatings can be deposited using standard cathodic arc deposition, our M-Arc technology which produces smoother cathodic arc films or our sputtering process using our partner The HEF Group’s patented technology to deposit dense, well adhered, smooth films. Northeast Coating Technologies’ Melonite QPQ ferritic nitrocarburizing process will impart a wear resistance corrosion resistant case hardened layer on all surfaces of your product. The post oxidation process that forms on the outer portion of the compound zone helps provide exceptional corrosion protection and will improve the performance of your product. This process will provide the most uniform nitride layer on inside and outside surfaces of your components reducing abrasive wear, scuffing and galling. The iron oxide (FeO) layer formed at the outer portion of the compound zone, is the most wear-resistant FeO layer available from a nitriding process improving corrosion-resistance and lowering friction.
